NASA announces plans to land on Mars within 25 years: US NASA officials said at a press conference in Washington on November 12 that humans will be on Mars in the late 1930s. NASA is trying to overcome medical barriers by significantly reducing travel time to Mars. Jones said that because the average distance between Earth and Mars is 140 million miles
