Eight people died in the sinking of immigrant ships in western Turkey: According to Turkish media reports, the ship carrying illegal immigrants may seek to travel to Greece but sank in the waters around the Calabrun region of Izmir, Turkey. The media reported earlier that the shipwreck caused at least four deaths and 30 missing, and the Coast Guard rescued a woman.
