U.S. claims that "election is unfair" threatened to expand its response to Cambodia’s sanctions against Cambodia: The US State Department issued a statement on July 30 stating that the US government is considering further restrictions on Cambodian officials and citizens visiting the United States in view of the injustices in the just-concluded Cambodian election.
